Website Design QA Checklist

A practical pre-launch checklist for navigation, mobile layout, images, forms, accessibility and content.

Page structure

  • One meaningful H1 and logical H2 sections
  • A visible main landmark and useful internal links
  • No duplicate introductory copy or thin filler sections
  • Clear next actions from major sections

Visual QA

  • Check all dark/light component combinations for readable text
  • Verify image crops and hero side spacing
  • Confirm card grids remain aligned with realistic content lengths
  • Make sure decorative elements do not cover controls

Interaction QA

  • Test dropdown hover, focus and touch behaviour
  • Test mobile menu expansion and Escape behaviour
  • Validate forms, error states and success states
  • Check conditional fields such as return trips and extra stops

Technical QA

  • Crawl internal links and missing assets
  • Remove unused CSS, JS and legacy server files
  • Verify canonical URLs, sitemap entries and image dimensions
  • Check the LCP image, caching and mobile performance
